I seem to remember the brief being about a character wearing underpants over tights, that sort of thing.

As we know, there are many kinds of heroes, such as those in the emergency services. 

This idea was at the heart of the Boiler Hero brand design, right down to the

Hi-Viz colour palette. Boiler repairs and fittings are most often a distress situation requiring swift action, which fits well with the emergency service idea. The strapline also fits the bill, being very reminiscent of that other emergency service, The Ghostbusters.

The shape of the logo is a slight nod to superheroes. It is inspired by the Winged Foot of the God Hermes.
